Total Academic Center (TAC) is an after-school learning center located in the Elmwood section of West Hartford, CT. TAC provides classes in reading, writing and math, and one-on-one tutoring in all subjects for students in grades kindergarten-12. In addition, TAC offers a comprehensive SAT test preparation program for high school students, taught by experienced instructors familiar with the rigors of the test. For students learning English as a second or foreign language, the Center provides classes taught by highly-qualified instructors.
MISSION
TAC aims to provide students academic assistance to help them reach their full potential. At the same time, students are taught skills that will assist them in their school work and help them do well on state-mandated tests and entrance exams.
FACILITY
The Center, which is 3,000 square feet, has a computer lab with state-of-the-art technology, nine (9) classrooms and three (3) one-on-one tutoring rooms.
STAFF
All TAC instructors have had previous tutoring and/or teaching experiences. In addition, many of our instructors hold Connecticut teaching certifications and have Master's degrees. |
