Geometry
Geometry is "the branch of mathematics that deals with the deduction of the properties, measurement, and relationships of points, lines, angles, and figures in space from their defining conditions by means of certain assumed properties of space." Geometry focuses on concepts and problems regarding measurement of size, shape, and position and is a major part of the high school curriculum.
Our geometry class covers such topics as: points; lines; planes; area; volume; surface area; angles; inductive and deductive reasoning and conjectures; postulates and proofs; parallel line relationships and equations of parallel and perpendicular lines; functions of triangle and trigonometry; operations and functions of circles. Teachers guide students closely through the most difficult concepts. Students are given ample problems to solve, giving them the opportunity to master the subject.
